SOLO LEVEL DESIGN
A comprehensive showcase of game levels designed end-to-end. From initial concept and grayboxing to final lighting and environmental storytelling, these projects represent a solo commitment to mechanical depth and atmospheric immersion.

NEON SECTOR: TACTICAL BREACH
MISSION: Designed to challenge player verticality and strategic positioning within a compact urban sprawl.
RESPONSIBILITIES: End-to-end level design, lighting, custom asset integration, and AI pathfinding optimization.
SOLO PROJECT ARCHIVE

ABYSSAL RESEARCH FACILITY
MISSION: Focus on stealth mechanics and atmospheric pacing through dynamic lighting and occlusion culling.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Pacing blueprints, stealth corridor design, technical performance profiling, and scripting environmental events.

ENGINE & SYSTEMS
UNREAL ENGINE 5
Utilized Lumen and Nanite for high-fidelity geometry and dynamic lighting across solo environment designs, focusing on spatial storytelling and performance optimization.
C++ & BLUEPRINTS
Developed custom actor components and procedural generation logic to manage complex level pacing and player interaction triggers within isolated mission structures.
NIAGARA SYSTEMS
Designed bespoke environmental VFX to guide player flow and emphasize critical level junctions through subtle visual cues and atmospheric particle systems.
FLOW & PACING
In solo level design, my philosophy centers on the intimate relationship between player agency and environmental narrative. I approach pacing as a rhythmic dialogue—alternating between high-tension mechanical execution and moments of atmospheric rest. Every corridor and open arena is a deliberate choice, designed to guide the player's psychological state through visual breadcrumbs and architectural framing.
"Level design is the invisible hand that coaches the player without ever uttering a word of instruction."
Pacing is not just about enemy density; it's about information density. By controlling the flow of discovery, I ensure that players remain in a state of 'flow'—challenged enough to stay engaged but never so overwhelmed that they lose the sense of progress. My work emphasizes technical modularity, allowing for rapid iteration of these complex interactive paths while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic vision.
